Dr. Rolf Soehnchen

Profile:

Dr. Rolf Soehnchen has over 30 years of experience in skin cancer detection & treatment, chronic skin conditions and aesthetic dermatology, both in Dubai and in Germany. He was a graduate of Medicine in Munich and Hamburg, qualified as M.D. in 1982, and received his PhD doctorate in Endocrinology from University of Hamburg.

After a 2-year post doctorate fellowship at Memorial-Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York in Cutaneous Biology, Dr. Rolf did a residency training at Munich University (LMU). During this time, he received a research grant by the German Research Council (DFG) for the development of an artificial skin. From 1991- 1993 he worked as “Oberarzt” at for Dermatology Clinic at the Free University in Berlin in charge of surgical dermatology.

Until 2006, Dr. Rolf worked in his own clinic near Cologne, Germany focusing on skin cancer detection and treatment, and the treatment of psoriasis.

Dr. Rolf Soehnchen worked at the American Hospital in Dubai in 2011, as Chief of the Dermatology Department and thereafter he established his own Dermatology Clinic in Umm Suqeim.

Dr. Rolf holds the German Board Certificate- Dermatologist and in addition he gained the qualification for Allergology and Phlebology.
He received the DALM Diploma (Diploma in Aesthetic Laser Medicine) from Greifswald University in Germany.
Dr. Rolf Soehnchen is well experienced in all kinds of aesthetic procedures including Chemical Peels, Botox (Botulinum toxin), PRP and Filler Injections.

He is a regular speaker and a member of the Faculty of The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine on all topics of Aesthetic Dermatology.
